Since 2005, Sean has been a key element in our association clients' publications and communications programs, driving unprecedented revenue growth. His vision for publishing excellence has been the cornerstone of his team, ultimately with one main goal – to build industry-leading trade magazine publications. This is largely demonstrated by the record setting number of ad pages which is achieved year to year. Sean's model for success is simple – make every edition more exceptional than the last. This is and has been the driving force since he has been at the helm, ensuring all parties, including the association, the publication's audience and advertisers are top of mind during all critical publishing decisions.
As VP of Lester, Sean has spearheaded some of the company's most successful brand extensions, advancing the communications programs of Lester's trade association clients to the digital age. These developments have included online publishing of magazines, directories and buyers' guides, and more recently, digital publishing for the iPad.
Director of Business Development
Connie has over 10 years experience in marketing and communications. She is certified as a Project Manager and Business Analyst through Schulich School of Business from York University.
Her successes are mainly due to the value she puts into building relationships and providing exceptional communications plans based on her process of gathering requirements and understanding each client's publishing model. Throughout her career she has held senior management and proprietorship roles which today, allow her to provide a keen knowledge of management and operational processes for our clients.
Kristy brings diverse experience in writing and editing to the position of managing editor with Lester Communications.
With a Bachelor of Arts in Communications and a diploma in Creative Communications with a focus on journalism, she has honed her writing and editing skills with bylines in a variety of local newspapers, magazines and online publications over the years.
Her previous positions with both government departments and the Manitoba Legislative Assembly in research and legislative aide roles has given her an appreciation for the importance of strategic planning and an in-depth understanding of topics such as agriculture, transportation and healthcare.
She brings her love of writing and attention to detail to each and every publication she works on.
